Got laid off
started working as a youth pastor that all happened in one day
Started back posting here on BOTL and in chat
had a new son in march
Still happy being married for 9 years

All in all...a good year! It was a hard year...but a good year! Hopefully 2010 is even better! Good thread Mitch! Enjoyed talking it over with the misses!

Celebrating 25 years with my wife / best friend
Some nice bombs from other BOTLs (especially Shuckins)
Taking up tennis again (plus getting in better shape + losing 20 lbs in the process)

What a great thread and one hell of a year.
Sold house (do I need to say it)
Moved into inlaws
Wife still has a extremely stressful job
Saved 16 Firefighters jobs at work due to consessions thru our union. (One of the only Union fire in the country to due so in 09.)
Met a ton of great bros on here at events and looking to meet many more.
Wife got a new Bmw for Christmas.
Met Jason and Lyndsay at the Iberostar Grand Mexico and consider them great friends already.
My father had a mild heart attack at 58 years old.
Bought more in cigars and accessories in 09 then any other hobby I've ever had combined.

2. Got a loan modification and saved 38% on my payment
3. Able to keep condo in San Diego

2009 had some of the lowest lows and highest highs in my life....

The low points:

I had to leave the job I loved at my local B&M (had been the manager for almost 7 years).
my wife was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time.
worrying about paying off $73,000.00 in medical bills my damn health benefits didn't cover.
not seeing my 8 yr old granddaughter since March '08 because of a messy divorce.

The high points:

my wife is now cancer free, again!
getting a grip on paying off those medical bills, I can now see the light at the end of that tunnel!
being a grandpa again, I love my darling Lillie!
keeping my faith in God and my family.
not giving up on my love and passion for cigars.
realizing that my second family, BOTL, is full of the greatest guys and gals that anyone in the world would want to have.

I hope everyone has a great 2010!
