Mark, I had on shorts most of the trip, just a couple dinners warranted pants...apparently to me only. :LOL:

Jim, I was the only CA mod there. Sad, because there's not much to do on CA anymore. :cry:

I'm quite jealous since I've never been to Vietnam and always wanted to go.

I used to travel a lot to Asia for work and can certainly identify with the jetlag recovery factor. I was actually in Taiwan the week before last for the first time in a long time and surprisingly had almost zero issues with jetlag. Very surprising since it would almost always take me down for 3-4 days in the past.

Where in Asia besides Taiwan have you been, Brian? Some of my buddies went to Cambodia and Laos on the trip, but I only did Saigon.

No jetlag issues there, all of my issues came after returning. It's all good now.
 
20 years ago I did product sourcing and factory evaluations for Fastenal. Multiple locations in China but primarily Shanghai, Guangzhoa and Beijing. Also Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Malaysia in addition to Taiwan

From 2010-2013 I worked for the same tool company in Taiwan I visited last week. They pretty much exited the US market after I left but are now looking to make a return. I put together a business plan for them and my trip was basically an in depth discussion of the details.

So there's potential for future endeavors with them? Sounds like you've seen some amazing places.
