This is my first review on BOTL. I recently was at my B&M looking for a mild to mid cigar. They were doing a Perdomo Giveaway so I decided to try a couple before I bought a box. I am only reviewing the one for now. I pick up a Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne stick. I loved the packaging of the cigar and the cool draw was very mellow. I lit the cigar and I have to admit it was not up to what I was expecting. It began canoeing and burning out. The taste was almost that of metal. I was not impressed with this cigar. I do not know if I got a bad cigar or whether it was normal for that particular one. I was only able to smoke about 1/3 of the stick before I gave up on taste and canoeing. At this point I am not will to buy another one to check and see if it was just a bad stick. Some people I am sure like it, bit i for one am not a fan of that particular stick.

Kind of surprised because in my book that cigar is one of Perdomo's better ones. The burn and metallic taste issues sound like the cigar wasn't properly humidified. Do you do a lot of business with this B&M?

I had a similar experience to yours. Mine was well rested but it tasted harsh. Could’ve been a dud. Never tried it again. The lot 23 is a much better cigar imo.

I found these to be quite smooth and more on the mild-medium side. Great smelling and tasting tobacco; i even get a bit of maltiness on the retrohale.

Try these in the Maduro Noir......I've all but given up on Naturals in any brand except for the AF SS.....but even then I'm partial to the dark wrappers. Rest them for at least a few months because the wrapper tends to insulate and takes longer for the balance to come through but when it does....much better taste and complexity IMO
