Maybe if Cuba had the capacity to warehouse ten years worth of tobacco we could compare tit for tat otherwise it's impossible to compare. Sadly that will never happen:)

This topic has never changed always the same old arguments at least a polite crowd that's cool :)
Pretty civil so far!

This is basically where I am, too. I voted that Cubans are better because that's my strong personal preference at this point. But as I've said to several brothers here, being a snob about this makes no sense. I don't know what another guy's tastes are and can't dictate that to anyone.
Some people have fragile ego's and a superiority complex and have the need to feel like they are better than others in order to feel good about themselves. Snobs are simply elitists, who are egomaniacs and narcissists. They feed off the attention of others, regardless of whether or not the attention they are receiving is positive or negative because in their mind they are always right.

This joke by Ron White sums it up.

And let me clarify I'm NOT saying all people who smoke Cuban cigars are snobs. I've been around the block so I feel I have to clarify this before someone takes my statement out of context.

One thing I think many people do who are new to Cubans is this: they give them the benefit of the doubt because of the mystique. It's the label-effect. (The same can be said about any HTF stick, LEs, etc. in the NC world) Cubans are "cool" and famous and all that, so when you finally get to smoke a few of them, it's like "Wow, I'm smoking a Cuban!!"

I think that a lot of people are overly generous when it comes to Cubans, at least initially. After you've had a ton of both CC and NCs, then of course you just know your tastes. But in the early stages, the wow-factor cannot be ignored.

There are some cigars from just about every cigar-making country that are--TO ME--crappy, good, very good, great, awesome, and amazing. Being blessed means finding cigars you love that are affordable and easy to find.

Ok, somebody PM me where you guys are getting these CC's at the prices you're posting, please, because the only ones I see on the sites I've visited are the smallest of each brand. Some of which aren't out matching some cigarillo's I've seen in size by all that much.

4x42 for $6.50...

Discussing sources is not allowed. But it's not a secret that some of the truly great and classic CC's hit around the range of $150-$170 a box. This includes:

SLR Serie A & Regios
Ramon Allones SS
Vega Robaina Famosos
R&J Short Churchill
PLPC (50ct) a little more expensive
Bolivar Royal Coronas
El Rey del Mundo Choix
A lot of Hoyos
Juan Lopez 1&2
Montecristo Edmundo&Petit Edmundos
PSD4
Punch Punch

I think many will agree that these are great list of cigars within the 6-7 buck range.

I absolutely agree, as you can tell by my first post in this thread. :jitb:

Smoke what you like, like what you smoke. I prefer Cuban, but there are some wonderful NCs out there.
Good to see there are so many other open minded Brothers here in this community. Close mindedness is just a sign of a small mind.

Wouldn't you like to know?
I know a shop in havana that has 06 RASS for $80 a box. If you like thin cigars I also picked up a box of LGC MdO #3 for $70 a box and Upmann noella's for $125 a jar. Upmann half coronas are only $65 a box. I smoke probably 50/50 but the best deals are Cuban and the best cigars I have ever had we're Cuban as well.

That's fair cause we all have your connections or the ability to go to Cuba. :)

Sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, and don't take this wrong, but I call BS on those prices. Your prices for a pack of 10 52's is over $100 off the best price I've ever seen. Sig 1 $60, Sig 2, $70, etc. Not to mention this is coming from the American view point, the shipping costs have to be taken into account.

I'm sure those of you in other parts of the world deal with a very different side of CC's than we do, so what I'm saying has little to nothing to do with you. But, we pay out the ass for CC's, according to the dozen different sites I have found. That's the only argument I'm making, that they are expensive compared to what we pay for NC's.

I've been known to stock my humidor with $20-$30 Padron's because I like them, I understand that being the same with those of you who are into the CC scene. But please don't trounce around here saying how CC's are in fact cheaper, when that is simply false. We can all point to killer deals we have gotten on specific cigars in the past, I have gotten a 3 pack worth $90 for $6, but that doesn't mean that's how much those cigars cost.

I've spent way too much time on this thread, investigating prices, etc. I'm going back to the firearms thread, lol. :riflefire

Sorry man, but he is 100% correct. Those are lower than usual for certain reasons, but it's accurate.

We cannot and will not discuss sources here, sorry. But all the info I said is 100% accurate and is where a lot of people are buying. Those prices include shipping.

CCs that are staples in my humi (RASS, PSD4, PLPC, Boli PC, Party Shorts, RASCC, etc, are all cigars that I can get regularly for $5 to $8 each. And I would put them right along side most $30 NCs for my tastes.
