does anyone have any cigar regrets? specifically "the one that got away" type stuff? this was stuck in my head by CA reviewing a cigar in their connieseur's corner a cigar i had actually burned, the padron millennium. anybody have anything they would have held onto longer? bought into?

i just look back sometimes, remembering OR fuente 858 SG, the millennium, the release of the 1926... you get the idea.

I have no desire to chase the marketing game anymore.

I'm a cigar smoker not a cigar collector. I buy a box, I smoke it, then I buy another box.

Wish I would have smoked my 2001 Partagas lonsdales all up a few years ago.

They were some of the best cigars I've ever smoked and figured they would only get better in a few years. Wrong!! A year later they went flat:sadstare:

Wish I had known what the LG Small Batch no. 2 was sooner. I was a n00b and watched a cabinet slowly sell, but didnt try them until close to the end. :hammersma

Wow, is that refreshing to hear, but I am so NOT there. I collect and smoke like crazy.

If I would have only bought 2 boxes of Franks!:cbig:
I did, but they are still gone.

Good to know as I have 1 waiting, but the 2000 was still great last time I had one (but I'll be smoking through those now).

I remember getting tired of chasing all the new, limited release stuff just when the Pork Tenderloin came out. That was the 1st limited release I didn't chase. Luckily, I could still get a 5er after all the rave reviews and I am happy I did. I actually managed to hang on to a few and smoked one this past week. These are amazing with plenty of stuff to continue aging well. A bundle (or two) of these would have been perfect.

I wish I found BOTL sooner
I wish I bought a larger humidor (wanted a 25, bought a 100, need a winadoor)
I wish I smoked cheaper sticks while I developed my pallet and let quality sticks age until now
I wish I was little bit taller, I wish I was a baller, I wish I had a girl who looked good I would call her
