10 cigars?!!?!
10 cigars a day is really only in Havana. When I am there for the festival I start smoking when I wake up and smoke pretty much the entire day. And yes smoking CC's is much easier on the body and the palate. The old the cigars may have a really long finish but it is kinda clean so not competing too much with the next cigar

I had one about three weeks ago. Scotch (for the first time) and two LFD Triple Ligeros. I felt like doo doo...wanted to cap myself in the head with my Glock. If you eat something sugary, it does help with nicotine intoxication, or so I've heard. It didn't work for me that day.

The actual remedy for nicotine sickness is sugar. Empty a sugar packet (or half), or sugar cube under your tongue and let it dissolve. A sugary drink will also work. In my experience the sick/nauseous feeling in the head is gone in less then a minute, but the stomach still lingers.

I used to get these occasionally when I started smoking and would over smoke. At this point in my life I smoke at least 3 cigars a day and usually closer to 5 or 6 and have not had one in quite some time. I think the nicotine is just like alcohol and we build up a tolerance of sorts.

I'm not sure about the soundness of this advice

When I chased a cigar with sugary drinks was the only time I blew chunks after smoking.

going to second this. old CA issue where, tasting in cuba, one of the guys got the spins, and was recommended to take a sugar cube. keep a little ginger ale on hand for those occasions myself, works wonders.

It's nicotine sickness that got to you, those were some nic bombs. Poor hydration, nic bombs, and cheap beer = bad combination. Remedy is time and drink pleanty of fluids.

BOTH!! Keep a bottle of Gaterade or Sports drink around with electolytes handy. Also a good candy bar or something with sugar to eat.

I always keep a soda within reach for just such an occasion.

As for the 10 sticks in a single day. My record so far was 4 in one day, and my normal day off is 2. I've never even had the urge to smoke more than that, 10 would be out of the question for me. After the second or third, I get a little bored smoking and have to do something else. But, I'm a little more "religious" with my smoking as well, trying to pick out tastes, etc.

I've haven't gotten a cigar hangover yet, but I have gotten slightly naseous after the larger cigars. The sugary drinks seem to help me with that.

For me it isn't nicotine sickness it is more a fuzzy brain, furry tongue and possible slight dissorientation. They really tend to feel like a mild hangover to me. Some of that may just be lack of sleep but always feels like more to me. And I get really bad booze hangovers so I do know the difference.

I reeeeaaally like cigars, but 10 in a day doesn't sound good to me at all. I have only gotten green twice from a cigar, & have yet to spew from one so far.

I'm going to give the credit to my mother on this one. All that smoking she did whilst I was in the womb may have given me ADD & left me a little on the slow side, but it's given me a good tolerance for nicotine. Thanks Mom!
