I was just wondering if anyone knew the science behind infused cigars. Where in the process does this take place? Is actual coffee involved in some way or is it just a very clever blend?

I think it is infused with coffee flavors. Look up Drew's website it should have all the info you are asking. Also several of the Drew Estate folks are on here and can give you the facts too.

For some reason I have this vision in my head of people pouring half drank cups of coffee into an atomizer that then gets pumped into a room with all the tobacco hanging up. The damp coffee infused air is then used to humidify the room. I'm probably way off.

The process is something they keep under VERY tight lid. They won't tell anyone anything about it that don't need to know (and I am not surprised, as it is a patented process)...

and yes, with all the people trying to BLATANTLY rip off DE (like gurkha/ cojimar), i would keep the proprietary lips sealed as well.
