...to see if it was all just some sick dream. Two nights ago I was at my local B&M enjoying a cigar when a friend calls. He says that a liquor store near our house is going out of business and everything is 70% off and that he stocked his humidor with Gurkha's. I thank him for the info and continue enjoying my cigar, and in doing so, completely forget about the phone call. Maybe it was the Gurkha's that made me forget. Fast forward to yesterday. Noon'ish. I'm going for a cigar. Ahah! I had completely forgot about the call until I pass the liquor store! Why not? I pull in, go in and make my way to the humidor, which is a small walk-in, maybe an 8'x10'. I give a quick glance around and see the Gurkha's, some Rocky Patel's, and then I look at the top shelf. Fuente. Fuente. Fuente. Boxes of Don Carlos, Cuban Corona's, Short Story's, etc! I look around. Am I on Candid Camera? Apparently not. I take all I can carry up to the register. The lady asks me, "Is that all?" With a smile, I say, "Start counting. I'll be back." Needless to say, several boxes of Fuente's, at 70% off, went home with me yesterday and yes, I opened my humidor this morning hoping it wasn't a bad dream. It wasn't.
