1979? Not sure about that. Tony Borhani created the Bahia line during the boom and I think he and his cigars had a checkered/controversial history over the years.

Bahia wasnt founded until 1995 I think....

Certainly wasnt around in the 1970's... I think you have your dates a little messed up...

I think several years ago they used to have a "vintage" line.. where they were using some tobaccos from the 1980's...

but Im almost 100% certain the stick you have wasnt rolled in 79...

The vintage has a 1988 wrapper. Bahia Gold was introduced in 1997 and then completely re-blended in 2003. I used to enjoy them from time to time a long time ago.

I mean 1997. What would it be worth for 1 stick in very good condition
The original release was a white band and was a decent smoke at the time. Not sure how well they aged. What is it worth? A sixteen year old off label Dominican? What ever a willing buyer will pay. $5 bucks. I dunno.

Agree that the originals rolled by DDouglas in Costa Rica were good. Once they moved production, they just weren't the same. I still have a half dozen or so in the corona size. They're worth whatever someone's willing to pay but I wouldn't say these would be worth anything over whatever msrp was on em at the time. G1

Farring who cares what's its worth I say you just light it, enjoy it. Then give us all a review on it so we can have knowledge incase one of us stumble upon it in the future. Just my opinion.

Cheers,

Is this a serious question? It's worth shit.
Trying to be civil here.
I was. You should have seen the post I deleted!
Hey MU,

I'm new here also and I know there is alot of etiquette that alot of people don't get. I was shocked by how we interact and I looked into alot of threads to get an understanding of it.
I'm sure Farring will learn. I do get where you are coming from cause it comes across as an attempt to just make money rather then the society we have amongst our brothers.

Cheers,
JM

My post was in reference to the cigar, not the original poster.
