  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Had my first pipe today.

So I have been kicking around the idea of trying the pipe and tobacco UtahRootBeer sent me a while ago. I figured I would do a little research and figure out the best way to pack it and get started. It was windy as hell out but I got her lit. Got about halfway through it and my daughter woke up. So had do a re-light but went ok otherwise.

Seems like something I will be trying again.

How often do you draw from it? I guess is my only question for now.

Dunhill Nightcap was my choice

Thanks Utah

The challenge is to only draw enough to keep it lit, my opinion is the cooler the smoke the better. Its really depends on my mood though.

Wow man, way better then I have done yet if you only had to do one relight! You can tell when you are puffing to much as mentioned above the smoke will get hotter. Not sure if this is wrong or not but I felt I had good timing and burn when the cooler smoke reminded me of smoking a hooka.

Welcome to the other side Agent. The puff on a pipe is similar to cigars...only slightly more often. Relights are common and don't really damage the flavor from my experience.

You have that backwards, puff less on a pipe than you do on a cigar.

Welcome to the wonderful world of trying to find a place to keep all of your pipes and tobacco.
