I assume that many/most of us who follow this forum have CCW permits, so I'm curious as to what each of us is packing today. My daily carry varies with my clothing, based on concealability, and I generally carry the largest caliber possible, consistent with being concealed. Since it is now summer, I am carrying what one of my buddies refers to as our "summer gun:" a Kel-tec P3AT (.380) in a Pro Carry Belt Ride holster from theholsterstore.net on my right hip. How about you all?

Same thing I carry year round:
M&P 9 full size AIWB

It will be replaced with my PPQ once 10-8 releases their sights for it.

I generally carry my Springfield XDM 40 with the paddle holster it came with. I may upgrade the holster at some point if I get some extra cash.

I have the 4.5 XDM the only thing I worry about is scuffing the gun up because it doesn't offer much protection for the lower part of the gun. The other thing that I would like but it's not a huge deal is I would like a release button so my gun couldn't be easily grabbed out of the holster by someone else. I do like the stock paddle it came with though.

G19... Havent changed platforms since 2005... no reason to fix what aint broke..

from 1999 - 2004 it was a G23....

from 1991 - 1999 it was a G19 (1st Gen)..

my "BUG" has changed several times over the years.. it took me a while to find something that I felt comfortable with, that was reliable enough, and could be carried correctly in a variety of different places (pocket/ankle/on the vest, etc..).. and has been everything from a S&W bodyguard to a beretta tomcat.. I finally settled on a Kel-tec P32 sometime around 2001... and havent changed it since..

Ive owned/own several other pistols.. but none of them have been CCW weapons.. they were either "range" guns, or special purpose pistols (hunting, target, competition, etc..etc..)...

Im a firm believer that you should be comfortable with any/all pistols.. but should stick to one platform, worn in the same place, the same way, all year round for your primary defense weapon.. if you dont have a pistol that supports that.. its time to change pistols.. or your manner of dress..

The only exception I make to this is "gym clothes".. if I am somewhere that a t-shirt and shorts are the standard.. and Im going to be moving around a lot (the gym, out jogging, on the beach/by the pool, etc..)... my BUG usually becomes my primary (better than nothing).. and is carried in a very small (and ghey looking) fanny pack holster..

I'd encourage you to reconsider the button holsters. They cause a lot of problems.

But, you just want a standard OWB holster for it?

Yeah, pretty much. I have looked at a couple at Gander Mountain and shops around here. It's just a matter of finding the right one. You are right about the button. You are the third person to mention it and now I think I will stay away from them.

Getting a CCW in NY is near impossible for common folk but if I I had one it would be my FNH FNX 9. It's light, accurate and fits my big ass hand well. Not crazy about the decocker engaging too easily when dropping the safety in condition 1 but no big deal, still love it. Unfortunately 9mm rounds are impossible to get a hold of around here. Haven't been to the range in months. :wtf:

@strife I will keep an eye out around here, ammo is finally coming slowly back in stock in my area. I actually found some ammo for my gun the other day.
