Being a bachelor you tend to fall in to a bit of a rut when it comes to dinner. You end up gearing dinner plans around 40 cent wing night, half priced burger night or it's the monotony of take out and frozen dinners.
I actually got out of work at a decent time and wanted something simple yet a little different than a sandwich or frozen pizza. So I stopped by the store and decided it was sloppy joe night!
Step one was finding the right beer.
And we were on our way. Nice thing about sloppy joes are they take about 20 mins to make, and getting off work early it was nice to knock out a quick meal. Total cost of the grocery store stop was $8.74 and will leave enough leftover for about 2 more meals.
While that begins to cook i went ahead and picked out a short movie to pass the time. The making of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" should do the trick.
Threw in a few spices from the cabinet, chili powder and red pepper to give it some kick and grated some Cracker Barrel extra sharp I had in the the fridge, poured a fresh beer, grabbed the latest Golf Digest that came in the mail and dinner is served!
After enjoying the food, zoning out on the movie and reading a few articles I am done with dinner about a half hour later.... Wonder if my ex will do my dishes....
