They are an outstanding quick little smoke IMO. I always keep a couple of boxes around. In terms of flavor they are rich, laced with coffee and sometimes chocolate. I can't compare them to the RC's because I have never had one but the BCJ is a great, under-the-radar little guy that is worth exploring.
My experience has been that they smoke well for the first few months to a year after they were boxed but then go sick until 18 months or so and then they crawl out of this period ready to shine. Pick up a box and give 'em a go. Can't beat the price either.

Smoking one right now. I read some where that these are good Rott. So I gave them a go and I'm so glad I did!

Agree the C J's are marvelous, probably the most consistant vitola in the Boli range I have had.The recent Royal Coronas I have smoked were light for the vitola in my opinion,I have had the Oct 11 and June 12 codes.

Under filled and just not on track compared to the experience I have with them, dating back to the '90s.

The petit coronas have been a bit uneven, but way better than the RC's.

I'm a big fan of the Petit Coronas... any comments on how the CJ stacks up both in strength and flavor? Similar?

Very similar, the strength is more apparent sooner[shorter stick],flavors very close. No doubt you are smoking a Bolivar..............

I'd agree with that... I read this thread yesterday: a) had Corona JRs from '08 and '12 yesterday and b) had Petit Coronas from '07 vs '12 today. People say they're both good ROTT, but I like them both more with age. They are pretty tasty ROTT though.

I enjoy the smaller format Bolivars more with their larger counterparts, but that's me... although I don't have a lot of experience with the Royal Coronas.

Love the CJs. The PCs - not so much, but I'll keep trying them. I just find them lacking that strong, earthy profile I love so much in the CJs.
