Zaya is yummy, but for me too sweet to drink often. I like a little more barrel flavor: my faves are El Dorado, Pampero and the new Black Barrel from Mt Gay.

Guyanese & Bajan rum. Good choices! What country makes the Pampero? I've never heard of that one...

If you like Zaya then you'll really like Zacapa XO. It's going to be in the $75-$85 range but is far superior to Zaya imo. I love good sipping rum and I keep both on hand. Keep the Zaya around for when friends come over and save the Zacapa for yourself.
