Can anyone recommended a decent brush. I picked up a Muker and some CF cream a few weeks back but went cheap on the brush being unsure it would stick. I wasnt sure I wanted to add a few min to my rushed morning but I can't see myself going back to Mach 3.

I was looking at a Parker silvertip. Any other suggestion?

Ive got the parker silvertip, and it works great. I use proraso, and that stuff sucks up water, so the brush holds enough moisture in when I start to lather. Its held up great for a year now, with no real indication of any ware.

I love it, but its my only one, so I cannot compare it to others.

Thanks. The amazon reviews were good but they were good on my cheap one so wanted conformation from a different source.

I just saw this thread. I started Wet Shaving a few years ago. Although I'm to lazy to get up earlier to shave with it everyday, I love it. My Parker Silver tip brush is great. I use Art of Shaving shaving cream and good ole' Aqua Velva Blue as an after shave.

BOTL strikes again making me spend money! Lol

Just grabbed a Merkur long handle w/ a badger brush and some Geo F Trumper sandalwood shave soap.

Been wanting to pull the trigger on this for a while after using my old mans DE years ago. Cant wait to try it out this afternoon when it arrives!

Once I found the proper razor and blade combo for my face there was no turning back.
That's how I was too. Originally I was a little scared hearing how "sharp and dangerous" DE razors were. After my first shave and I realized that my face wouldn't look like I crossed Freddy Kruger I knew there was no going back either. Plus my face has never felt and looked better since I started DE shaving.

Right now is a great time to get into wet shaving. There are more great shaving products out there to use than ever.

Dang Sean, you clean up pretty good:)
There has not been a razor of any kind touch me for many many years, right now I could fill in for any ZZ Top guys or a guest star on Duck Dynasty. My hair is about 4" from my belt and my beard is below my shirt pocket and I am 6' 8" tall. I already did 4 locks of love cuts, but the beard stays. So to answer your question, sorry but no.
just got my hair cut for the LOL. Kind of hard getting used to the short hair again. I still have the beard and about once or twice a week I just a take a generic Gillette razor and wet shave off the neck to clean it up a little.

I have been looking at razors for the past 4 days now...I still have no idea what to get and what the difference in them are...yikes
Merkur 34C or Jagger De89 seem good starting points. I chose the Merkur due to people saying its more aggressive.

I got a Merkur 34C as my first DE a month or so ago and have been happy with it.

Great advice. Both of these razors have a big following for a good reason.

Not familiar with those by number, but I'm a fan if the butterfly DEs... Easy to swap out blades and easy to clean out.
