If someone comes across some Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee Stout and wants to send a bottle my way, I'd be more than happy to pay a finder's fee

Has anyone here tried Trader Joe's Bourbon and/or Scotch!?

I just discovered this over the weekend and couldn't believe the price, tempted to grab the 18 yr Scotch but for that cheap it makes me skeptical.

Nope. Was hoping somebody else would take the plunge and report back!
My GF tried some of their cheap stuff: rums and such. Ridiculously awful. I seriously wondered if a homeless alcoholic would drink it.

I've never had those two. But, Costco and Trader Joe's usually do a good job of getting good companies to make their private label liquor. An 18 year scotch for $26 is pretty good, worth a try.

See, this is kind of what I was assuming. Total Wine has a really great price on a Scotch called Grangestone, and I was prepared to get one of the older, more mature bottles because of this great price...but they let me taste test it, and it was disgusting.

Disgusting may be a bit harsh, but I put the bottle back on the shelf immediately. Get what you pay for I suppose.

I can say the presentation of the Scotch and Bourbon at TJ's is up to par, but again, that cheap price makes me nervous after my Grangestone experience.

I have to make a TJ run soon. If they have some of the 18 yr scotch, I'll snag some and can send you a mini water bottle full of it.

Nice find on the birthday bourbon! I have searched high and low for that and have aquired pappy and four roses 125 but have not ever witnessed a bottle of old forester bb!
