I've taken great care to buy cigars that I know I'll like...what I mean is, I really enjoy every cigar I smoke. I smoke about 4-6 a day and I find myself smoking them so far down that I burn my tongue...(over the long run) it has that "burnt the roof of my mouth from pizza" feel going on. I always tell myself to pitch it but always end up numbing it...smdh.

Anyone else have this problem?? . I really don't like a burnt tongue but I really enjoy my Stogies...lol

It is an addiction upinsmoke! No denying that one lol. I don't work right now (well actually tomorrow I start a new job) that's why I've been able to have 4-6 cigars. Once I start this new job, It will prob drop to 3 a day.

Apnutter just don't nub them every time or you'll end up with an abused tongue like me haha. It's a problem, I'm gonna throw them earlier from now on. The got dang things just cost so much money, how can ya not want to get your money's worth!

Bigjaygee you're lucky on that one. You must be in the trades? I'm going to get some smaller coronas and 4-4.5 inch cigars for when I'm on lunch.

Wow good for you guys. When I'm traveling for work I rarely get to smoke. But when I'm home at the beach, 3 a day is no problem at all for me :)
As for nubbing, rarely do I get to the point of burning my fingers. I always carry a 5-10 rack with me so if I'm that far down just making love to that cigar lol I set it down and light another.

Phisman, that sounds like a nice place to enjoy a smoke after work.

The end of a cigar is like dessert to me, where all of the flavors and nic converge into a delicious little morsel. Starting one fresh is like sitting down to a new meal...there's always another dessert..

Love the stick, do not like stinky like a stick in public (outside my B&M's). Would love to have one everyday, but for various reasons I limit to once or twice a week, 2-4 total in a week.
I hear ya on the on the nub, ya just don't want it to be over!

I used to be like you, King, but I've cut it back to 1 to 3 per day. Yes, I nubbed each one, just like you. Folks I smoked with used to laugh when I broke out my micro needle nose plyers in order to get every last puff. Draw a little lighter at the end, bud, and you may stop burning your tongue.

Back when I was smoking as many as you, I used to burn through a Rob in a half hour, and a Churchill in under an hour. I've learned to slow way down, and can now spend an hour on a Corona. I enjoy my cigars far more, now that I've slowed down a bit.

What I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around is the 4-6 cigars A DAY!!!
something wrong with that? i average 3-5 a day myself. 1 on the way to work, 1 or if i am lucky 2 while i am at work, and one on the way home, and if i stop at the B&M on the way home 1 there as well.
Ditto here... sounds like a typical day to me.

I take 2-4 puffs about every minute or two depending on what I'm doing. Sometimes no matter what you do or how soft a pull, the cigar's gonna run hot. I enjoy nubbin it but don't enjoy the tongue scald. I've started tossing them sooner.

First cigar I ever nubbed was La Flor Dominicana Ligero L500. I still have one in my humidor, waiting for warmer weather when I can sit outside and take my tmie with it.

The thing is, it wasn't a conscious decision to smoke it that far down. I was in a lunge with a good buddy of mine, having a great conversation after I had had a great meal, an Old Fashioned in one hand and the LFD in the other. At one point I looked down and realized how short it had gotten.

Good times...

I wish I had time to enjoy mine more often, bravo for you !
I felt like the last few I had as the weather was getting colder were rushed, and vowed to not rush through them anymore.. So I poke at them in the humidor, check my RH, and close the lid until we get some warmth.

Not to say I haven't snuck one or two in the basement, but it's freezing down there too !

Isn't it just a pain the ass to get in a good smoke sometimes! It's funny how often I have to plan my day around a stogie because I don't want to waste it.

Sounds like a wonderful memory rdomfoto

Same, I dont smoke during the day unless I can sneak away to my b$m for lunch. I just dont feel like I can fully enjoy it and dont want to ruin it, but I do love my evening ritual.
