Blown away at these prices...

So I decided to run by the local cigar bar because they have the baccy I was going to send to Utah for the past lotto. The guy came over and gave his shpeil about how good their prices are, grabbed 2 or 3 tins of Sutliff for MSRP, kinda blowing him off. Then he says all bulk is 35% off and Im like OK!!! He said the 1lb bags are usually $100, so its a good price. I'm like where do you get your tobacco from, what manufacturer? He told me he couldn't tell me. I remembered a couple of the names and looked it up on pipesandcigars. They're fu**in' sutliff bulk. Its less than $30 a pound and they're charging more than penzance. What the hell? I know they're trying to make profit, but come on.

Lol I went to a local cigarette shop that sells bulk once when I first started. The small captain black pouches were 10 bucks a pop, and the bulk was even worse.

I have a hard time swallowing local prices, but I've been accustomed to online prices and watch for sales to stock up, but IMHO if my local carried a few things I smoked I would support them, but they don't and have been curt and a bit rude more than once, so I rarely ask if they carry anything I don't see on the shelf and only stop by every month or two to see what's new

I don't mind even paying MSRP, but the $100 for sutliff bulk is insane. There is another place that has frog morton and the 3.5oz run $35. It's insane. I'll buy my stogies from B&M if they have what I'm looking for, but not my pipe stuff...

I'm hoping legislation in Ohio goes through...they've proposed a cap of .50cents/cigar instead of the current 18% OTP. Will help the B&M's out
