Photo quality after upload to forum...

There was a time when I would upload a photo to the forum through my iPhone and the photo was as clear as it was my camera. However recently when I attempt to upload a photo it asks me to choose a "best" or lesser quality option (this hadn't been the case in the past)

Even at the "best" quality, the photos look like crap and I'm wondering if there is an app setting (using Tapatalk) that I might've hit that enabled this less-than-optimal setting?

If you know how to correct this, please let me know. Thank you

Only thing I can think of is you're using the older tappatalk because I remember previously getting that message. But I've not gotten it with the version I'm using now nor did I get it just now

Are you two using the free version or the paid version?

Just a look at the free and paid versions, it looks like 40, you paid for the app, and Smoq, you have the free app. The paid version does not put the watermark on photos, and puts the best quality of photo up.

This happened to me as well, Joel. To fix it, I use the option 'Imgur' to host the pictures when I upload (instead of Tapatalk), and it doesn't change the quality. For some reason, I think Tapatalk now limits the size of the photos uploaded. So now when I upload from my iPhone, I choose Imgur (you can sign into Imgur if you have Gmail), and the pictures come out unchanged. I hope this helps! Let us know what you try!

Edit: I have the paid version, and choosing Tapatalk still capped my image size. Try Imgur for hosting instead and you should be good.

It might be a feature of the paid version, (Tapatalk Pro) is the one I have for iPhone. Imgur is within the Tapatalk app itself.

On Android I had to pay for the pro version to get better quality photos. It may be the same for iPhone.
