Stopped by the B&M in the town I grew up in for the first time in many years... I used to think this place was magical, but I know so much more now, and I realize that their selection is pretty weak overall. :/

Anyway, I played w/ their 3 fluffy shop cats and snagged a CAO Brazilia (had no idea it came in a 6x60, wow), a Gurkha Ghost Shadow (new to me), and a Graycliff Chateau Gran Cru (also new and the last one they had, it was calling to me).

As embarrassing as it is to say, I really enjoyed the flavor profile and smoke texture of the Gurkha Ghost last time I had one about a year ago. Looking forward to seeing what you think about it.

Why is that embarrassing exactly?

Nothing embarrassing about smoking a Gurkha if the flavor is right. The Ghost in Asura and the Regent are two good smokes for good prices. No one is judging... Well, at least I'm not :)

Their QC is terrible and for the most part doesn't burn or smoke well..but that was just my experience. But smoke what u like and like what u smoke. The ghost was good though; plumes of cocoa flavored smoke

Nice, something to look forward to. I have smoked a ton of Gurkhas and my experience has been that while I have definitely had a few that were bad rolls/burnt weird/were just off, a) it has been no more often than I have experienced with any number of other brands and b) I have had the overwhelming majority of them be exactly what I expected them to be (which isn't to say I have LIKED all of them, but way more than I have disliked). Always good to share perspectives and hear another take on a brand/blend/etc.
