Warning: As some have pointed out, these cigars could be close, or they could be the actual cigar. This is a collection of my opinions, so take them with a grain of salt. Everything.

So I put this guide together for you brothers who don’t want to spend a lot on a daily smoke, nor want to smoke the cuban sandwiches like the PdR Fumas. I have been in college for 10 years now, and even though I have more money now than in undergrad, I do like doing other things that costs money (there is a whole thread about fiscal responsibility; being an adult sucks!). I could easily spend my yearly cigar budget in the course of a day, especially with the HTFs, LEs, and new sticks coming out. I smoke 1-2 cigars a day and more on the weekends/holidays. That puts me around 750 sticks a year. While I would love to smoke a T52 every day, that would be pushing 10K a year. That’s more than 3 times my allowance my wife gives me per year. That includes lunch at work, sodas from the vending machine, new shoes etc. Therefore in order to fulfill my habits of smoking and buying cigars, I have purchased a lot of seconds/2nds/overruns/mistakes. I will not argue whether they are the cigars they say they are here, I’m sure there are threads and threads about it. But in my experience, they are tasty and cheap. Please keep all flames down to constructive criticism.

Another thing I want to point out, some of these are a crapshoot what you get, while others are only one type. The RP and Oliva are the same across the board. AJF and PdR are a literal gamble, only being able to chose the vitola. Alec Bradley is a bit different. You purchase the exact size you want. Most of the time, they only make one cigar in a particular size (e.g. 7x49, tempus only).

Also, I'll add any more that people post up on and ones when I get home and have a chance to really look at the websites.

NOTE: There are cigars here than I KNOW are a specific stick. There are a few that I’m unsure about. And then there are some that I have no idea what they could be. Some of the vitolas don’t match any ever made by a particular company (see the double corona below), but they taste exactly like another known vitola. I figured that they were the same, but I could be wrong.

Also, I will keep this list updated whenever I get another mazo, I am putting them in chronologically and by which site I used. Prices include shipping.

VERY nice! If I smoked everyday I would love to see this. I smoke 2x a week so its usually a more pricey smoke. But these are GREAT to have around for moochgars

Jon will soon earn the title of the 2nd King of the Stogies. Very informative, I might give some of these a try for my daily dog walkers. Do you set them down for a specific amount of time, or smoke em rott?
Just like any purchase, I usually smoke one ROTT and judge how long they need to sit. The most I've ever needed was the Pinoleros. Very young, lots of ammonia. They've been resting now for about a year. Still needs some downtime, imo. But that is the only ones that NEEDED to. Everything else is taste. The Olivas, ABS, and RPs are always good after the 3 day grace period.

Love the list Ramza! I'll say I've smoked a few off that list and I'd like to add a few more. Those 2nds Gordo torpedo's from CB are great! Any of them, the habano, Cameroon, maduro, fuerte, extra fuerte... I like all of them and they burn well, smoke well ROTT and I usually pay 16 bucks for 15 of them.. Such a great deal.

You can also pick up the RP Vintage 1990/1992 off CB for around 30-37 bucks for 15 I believe. These are really good as well.

I really like the FyR Cabinet Sellecion.. I will have to check those out for sure!

Ball in' on a budget right guys..

I'd also like to add, now that I've been so frugal with my cigar purchasing.. I can't even stand to pay 5 dollars a stick even when I know it's a great deal. It's a blessing in disguise I think. I'd really like to buy just one box of good smokes though!

To add another I just thought of (when it pops up) is La Saguesera by Christian Eiroa which is around 30ish for 14 cigars. Great smokes.

I hate paying full price for anything, although I make exceptions when it is something I really enjoy. I am glad you put this together, I have been eyeballing those 2nds for a while but unsure of quality. Thank you!

Have you ever purchased the knock-offs from JR Cigars? I purchased a mazo of knock-off RP Vintage 90 for $30 a few years back and while I can't say for sure how close they are, they are a tasty budget stick

From what I've heard about knock offs is that they are cheaper tobacco blended in order to try to taste the same as target stick. I never purchased them, though.

I'm not debating the validity of your statements, just curious as to how you know %100 what is what?

This one sprang to mind immediately. I might have a few more:

Famous Smoke
Alec Bradley Supervisor Selection - bundle of 20 Toro (6x50) "Epicure" Natural -- currently $55.99.
Org purchased May 2011, noted as "virtually identical to another fine Alec Bradley selection" "A recipe of hearty tobaccos from numerous Central American countries..." Not sure what they are 2nd of, but they are great smokes!
