Ho ho...dented tins?!

My ammunition arrived, and some of the tins were dented. The box they arrived in looked to have no damage.

My question: do I need to contact the seller and ask, or should they be fine to send to my target?

Depends on what ammo, how dented, and what you plan on using them for...

General rule of thumb says receiving a damaged package warrants contacting the seller, though.

I think the victim would be fine with a dented tin, if not sealed can easily be jarred, though you should contact the vender as smoking pipes credited me after I got a really beat up tin upon shipment

If the seal isn't broken, I'd send it anyway.
But, as the other have said, contact the seller anyway. They should appreciate the heads up so that they can inspect the rest of their inventory or even talk to the person who packs the boxes.

My personal opinion:

Seal broken = contact seller.

Seal intact = send it on.

After checking the tins, only one seemed more than minor and I don't think any seals were broken. Additionally, the recipient responded here that he would just send them.

Hmmm... I didn't know Captain Black came in a tin.

Although, spend enough time on a sailing ship and you'll come in anything I suppose.
