Hey gents .. I know we have a cheapie thread going .. But I'm interested in knowing what people smoke for short 15 minute smokes?

Like cigarillos, shortys etc...

When I'm on break sometimes I'll get time to smoke 45 mins other times 15... so I'm looking for some good short smokes. I just got the recent CI catalog and was going through it and saw some interesting seconds /mistakes and cigarillos for a bundle of 100 for like 30-40 dollars.

So throw out your favorite smokes .. It doesn't have to be name brand it could be boutique as well what ever works I'll be interested in looking into

So with that being said GO!..

I love the Machitos. They pack some kick for a short smoke. Nice and gritty.

I usually pay 28 for the oliva 50 count cigs and 7 for the perdomo cigs (on cbid) about 28 for the 25 count Senoritas. Heisinburgs are about 3 bucks a smoke in a five pack. Haven't seen the Machitos on the bid in a while.

I liked the AF tin, personally. I stopped smoking on work days, so I don't smoke shorties anymore, but the AF tins rule. There are also a ton of ISOM options listed in countless other threads, if you're into that.

I've never had a Davidoff I didn't like to some extent, but there are too many great cigars out there for me to spend 10 bucks on a cigarillo. The Davidoff 1000 is an outstanding panatela, though. El Triunfador makes a PC the size of a Party Short that's pretty good as well.

In summation, there's a million, try them all!

If I don't have time for at least a petit corona, I generally don't smoke at all.

That being said, my favorite option are the inexpensive regular cigars, and just toss whatever I don't get to.

Way I figure, a decent-tasting cigarillo is about a buck, buck-and-a-half. I've found lots of bargain sticks for around that price, usually when other guys are clearing out their humidor for higher-priced new stuff. So I smoke those instead and toss whatever is left. Cigarillos tend to burn hotter and need to be puffed more gently. A regular size stick I might only smoke two inches of, but I don't have I baby it near as much.

The MUWAT bait fish took me 36 minutes to smoke it to a 1/2" nub. I wouldn't have felt like I missed out so much if I'd pitched it at an inch though. That would bring it in around 25 minutes a smoke.

Have you considered a small corn cob pipe? I have a small bowl cob I pack before work and smoke on the drive home. 15-20 minutes burn time, and if I stop for gas or whatever, it relights without going sour.

I once sought out quick smoking cigars, but for a truly quick smoke, can't beat the cob. Now my short smoke cigars are those that I can finish in 60 minutes, which aren't many. Bought a couple larger cobs for 30- 45 minute smokes too. Those last my whole commute and have time for a glass of bourbon in the garage when I get home.

The Davidoffs are pretty good. AF makes a natural and maduro small smoke that's pretty good.
CAO Brazilia Cariocas can be smoked in 15 to 20 comfortably and are decent.
The best of them in my opinion is the Padron Corticos Maduro, they are fantastic for the price. They have a natural as well but the maduro is the way to go in my opinion.
