It only takes a couple of mods. First you need some coffee, coke, kook-aid, something sticky, apply to the A/C vent and make it hard to move. I prefer the running late and spill it everywhere method.

Let dry a couple of years. When your A/C vent will no longer move, you have a pipe holder

Mine is on the top of the center of the dash when I happen to put it down for a rest in my daily driver when not in the truck. Only at night. The cigar cutter stays there 24/7. Left one off my pipes there once in summer won't make the mistake twice.
