Alot of guys have been talking about lanceros lately and from JR cigar i had the opportunity to try one of the willy Herrera Esteli Lanceros and was blown away....any one have recommendations for other great lanceros?

Ive heard the Tatuaje Black and the Don Carlos are out of this world!! Not a huge huge fan of Oliva V....does the size make a difference?

In my very limited lance experience, absolutely! Better wrapper-filler ratio = more flavor. That's why it's Lancero February!

I also have limited experience, but I can recommend 2 out of the 6 that I had this month that are great.

Very true. The V Lance is money and it has everything to do with the ratio.

not to me (in this specific case) but definitely for other people.

Very true. The V Lance is money and it has everything to do with the ratio.

It's money for not much money if you shop around.
If you can get your hands on the Viaje Exclusivo lance do it, it's so good.

I am a Lancero slut and agree on the Tat sampler as a great place to start. If they still have any left, Small Batch has some Regius Exclusivo USA lanceros that are exceptional and I highly recommend these.

Much of what's in the Tat sampler is excellent, particularly the La Riqueza, Black, and Brown.

I have heard magical things about aged CCs like the Cohiba lancero, Trinidad Fundadores, and the 2009 (?) regional Boli, but sadly have not had one in my mouth yet. Though I will be finishing off the month with a La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No. 1 from 2000 that I have heard nothing but superlatives about.
