Yes the Mr Brog Pearwood pipes are very affordable, look nice and smoke very well in my opinion. I am Canadian so I purchased from the Mr Brog section on ebay.ca but I have been told that American buyers can go through their Amazon site: http://astore.amazon.com/mrbrog00-20
Mr Brog also offers pipes in briar, morta and cherry I believe.
A lot more on the 'Murican EBay site than Amazon.

Also has pear wood.

Damn I love that mug and nice choice on baccy
Can't agree more on the mug. I need a white board too now that I think of it. My 1 yr anniversary for BOTL is coming up and I owe the generous brothers here some smacks to the hairy beanbag. I need to come up with a contest but what type of contest I'm not sure of. I do know there will be homebrew, home roasted coffee, and home rolled cigars at stake along with some premium sticks. Maybe two contests so I can bomb out some baccy too, although my pipe cellar is weak compared to y'all. Any and all ideas are welcome. Cheers brothers!!

While I like my microbrews and imports (I guess Blue is technically an import), Blue is my staple and there's always a case in my fridge.

Smoking some Latakia Flake (nod to Dave) in a meer.

Nothing wrong with that at all. I say for tobacco: smoke what you like and like what you smoke. I say the same about beer or any beverage: like what you drink and drink what you like. While I hate the big guys for their business practices towards the smaller breweries I have a huge respect for the sheer volume they produce that is consistent and doesn't have any off flavors in the most difficult style of beer to brew. I've been to tons of breweries but my favorite tour of all was the bud brewery in Ft Collins CO last year. It's amazing and makes you feel so damn tiny. They brew bud light to 8.5%abv before halfing it with water to package and ship (so they can brew twice as much with half the effort) and it was damn good before they watered it down.

Sorry for the thread hijack guys!!
