  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Well, you could try adjusting the crossover to 100hz but I would not suggest it... You want that spectrum of your LFE channel through 120hz. If your mains can cross (respectably) below 80 go below 80 but otherwise don't touch your LFE and keep it right at 120, pal.

You could break out the spectrum analyzer and look for "holes" in the frequency response or areas where the room is causing a stacking of frequencies and try to eq them out. Then you could adjust the crossover to ensure that the roll off of the crossover isn't inadvertently causing a small gap in the frequency response. Then try moving the low frequency driver away from any corners to smooth out the response.

Of course, that assumes that you have the equipment and get geeked out playing with eqs and sound gear.
