  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I was just carded buying a six pack. Now you may say well yeah they need to card people bla bla bla, however I am 42 and in no way look younger than 42. Perhaps its the rocking headache I have or I am becoming less tolerant but I was insulted some Jr Hitler wanted to push his oh so limited power around. After that last line yup I think its the headache , now excuse me I am going to down some Advil.:hurting:

Some places here have to scan your drivers license before it will allow them to finish ringing you up. Its a pain but its 2 mins down the road from my house.

I worked at a bar. We carded just about everyone due to a law pertaining to our license that stated we didn't need proof that someone was of majority age in order to serve them, but in the case the state ABC showed up, everyone needed to be able to prove their age... kinda weird law, but it was a gray area, and the bar owner was a marine, so he didn't want anyone taking chances with his business.

In some states they are required to card everyone because an endorsement can be put on your license that you cannot be served or purchase alchohol or drugs
This or when I sold guns we were tested by the Feds and state all the time. Some of these people would come in with make up on and dressed the part to look older. When the feds and/or state wants to they can be rather creative just to make an example.

a week or two ago I was leaving work and totally stoked to light up my pipe when I got in my truck. Had a pipe packed and ready, got to my truck and realized I didn't have a lighter. Dug all around like a crack fiend, and no lighter. Recently cleaned out the cab, and took everything out.

So I grabbed for my wallet.... not there. Called my wife, yup, wallet at home. Relieved and frustrated at the same time.

Center console has a change holder. I had over $2 in change, so I figured I'd stop at the gas station just down the street from the hospital and grab a lighter.

Nope... No tobacco or tobacco accessories without ID.

Went down the street to the grocery store. Same story.

Finally about 5 miles from home found a gas station that sold me a mini bic lighter for $2 and change.
