Baccy question

I carry some baccy with me to my "tobacco free work place" in a ziplock baggie, but I seem to end up with several baggies in my pocket at one time and sometimes they start to dry out before I get them smoked. Can I put the baccy in a tupperware container with a 65% boveda and rehydrate the baccy, if I let it in there for a week or two?

I'm sure that would work just fine. I have also heard of spraying a paper towel with some distilled water and then placing the baccy on that to rehydrate faster if you don't want to wait as long.

Yep, I like the 62's the 65's seem a bit too much over time but may rehydrate a little faster if you're just trying to get it to smoke worthy levels

Sure can. I was recently reorganizing my cellar and found that a tin of Aperitif had been dropped and the seal had popped. The baccy was quite dry. I put it in a Mason jar with a small 69 Boveda I had on hand. Within a week the baccy was moist again and smokes great.

Just make sure you don't transfer that boveda back to a humi with cigars.

My biggest takeaway from that story was this sentence, "Pipe tobacco is not delicate like cigars are, so you do not need to slowly rehydrate it."

I had never really thought about it, but of course it isn't! What's great about that is, I don't need to be as neurotic about storing and traveling with my pipe tobacco as I am with my cigars.

Dudes! That's like super liberating for me lol!!

Yes you can. The pipe tobacco will rehydrate very quickly compared to a cigar. I do this with gallon freezer bags. Works like a charm.
