Yard Birds and Lettuce Munchers

Well, we finnaly found a house to buy!!! We are very excited to get moved in to our humble homestead. Our goal is to be more sustainable and self sufficenat. Not off the grid yet but that would be an end game. The first project will be to construct a chicken run. The house comes with an insulated coop but no run. My girls also want to get a couple rabbits. Are any of you guys into homesteading? If so i would love some resources. If anyone raises chickens or rabbits i would love to see some pictures of your setups.

Got 30ish chickens. They stink. Wife named em, not allowed to eat em anymore. Dont name your food.

Had a couple bunnies a while back. They died.

Ran into the same thing. Wife named a couple of heifer calves that I had in the barn for the winter. No longer able to sell them.
