I'm not condoning this behavior but just about every multi national corporation does seedy shit like this everyday and worse. We as Americans vote every time we open our wallets and time and time again we vote to promote this type of activity. We as consumers demand the best price on our products regardless of how it gets there. People bitch about how everything is made in china and yet buy Chinese goods while passing on the American made products due to price. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I can take this one level further and say that about illegal immigrants from South America. They are here because there is a market for them because we don't want to pay $500/Month for our lawn maintenance but that goes too deep into politics.

Capitalism at it's ugliest. As much as we'd like to believe few are the companies out there whose benevolence doesn't stem from tax benefit. Since most big companies CEO's and psychopaths and Boards of Directors are of the same ilk, it comes as no surprise.

As customers we want Walmart and Costco to keep prices low and the only way that happens is by squeezing labor and suppliers who squeeze their suppliers and so forth and so on.

So behavior like this will persist until we stop supporting these firms with our hard earned money.

Sorry for the rant.

You obviously have no idea about Costco if you think think they are squeezing their labors and suppliers.

I've had a few of theirs. The 125th celebration was one of my top 5 I've tried since starting back up in September. The Colorado was pretty good also. The 1888, not so much. Actually it was pretty bad. But the only reason I ever tried any of them was the work and hustle of the Villiger reps like Robyn and Kara. Any success that brand had in the US was due to the promoting they all did in shops and social media.

Im all for "smoke what you like"...

I just find it hard to believe that many people that frequent BOTL smoke villager with any regularity at all (if ever).. or that this was a brand that they were supporting prior to all of the hulabaloo...

If you werent supporting their business prior.. Im not really sure how "losing your business" now really matters?

Hahaha... I'm trying! I'm still a rookie in this game though. I've been trying not to smoke the same thing twice since I started, but I keep a few on my "would buy again list" and the 125th was one of them. I never would've thought to try it if it wasn't for the people who pushed the product, and promoted it at my local B&M and on social media. It was almost like smoking 2 completely different cigars from start to finish. That being said, it was good and definitely worth the try. Would I buy it again... If the company weren't d-bags.

What are those villagers cigars, and where can I get one, to try and decide if they'll lose my business or whatnot...

;)

What strikes me most is they cut expanse cards while reps were traveling. That's rude and I am sure is prone to recourse from the now unemployed reps.
