I know this is fully OT, but I keep stumbling on friends/associates who've gotten into go lately, mostly on account of AlphaGo and David Lee Roth. These kinds of forums are fundamentally social/friend-based for me, not data exchange. So since go is a happening thing lately (after 4000 years of it being the most popular game on Earth), I'll put it out there. I've been playing for 17 years, I am an AGA (American Go Association) 1 dan. If anyone here plays or wants to learn and would like to play with me, lemme know! I have accounts on most of the go servers. Mahalo.

You can for sure play Pente on a go board, and Pente is derived from a game that is played on the go board, a game called go-moku, or five-in-a-row.
