As far as emptying goes I just dump it like any other ashtray.

What do you mean by "ashes would go into the inside"? It is one solid piece. No shaking needed, it's dumped just like every other ashtray I've seen or used.

After discussing things with my buddy, he didn't feel right about selling these. The good news is, I told him about OE 16 and if he would consider donating a couple to the auction. He loved the idea! So he donated 1 polished and 1 rustic one when I saw him this past weekend. I will be sending pics to Brad with dimensions. I will also be the one who sends them to the winners. I hope they bring some money to a great cause!

Don't get me wrong, he's is definitely in the business of making money, just not on this. He knows how I really like and respect this forum/community and he just didn't want to feel like he was taking advantage of a group especially since he isn't a member here. Maybe he will reconsider someday.

Was there anymore discussion on him making more to sell? I've yet to buy an ash tray but now that I'm more actively smoking a cigar I'll need one for the colder months ahead.
