  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pipe car kit?

So it's very much winter here. I've taken to trying to enjoy a pipe in the car when running errands and what not, and it's pretty awesome! Problem is, I need a way to carry everything (which isn't much). I don't plan on leaving anything in the car as I park outside and it's way too cold at night. Just something that I can zip up and bring to the car, then pack up and bring back in when I get home?

One Pipe
One tobacco
Pipe Tool
Lighter
Cleaners

Would one of those pouches on P&C be the best bet you think? Right now it's pipe in my hand. Tool in my pocket. Cleaners in the glove box.

The other issue is when I get out of the car and still have half a bowl left, I don't want to leave the pipe out because it doesn't smell so great. A pouch would help greatly with that as well.

What does everyone here use?

Thanks!

Check out the Maxpedition Beefy or Fatty. I swap between both at times, for both cigars and pipes.
I know there are some example pictures here in the forum, but I don't have any links at the moment...
Thanks Clint, those look pretty damn nice actually. I think I'm looking for something a little less "military" though. I'll keep prowling the internet!

The Fatty is smaller than the one I showed, perfect for day to day.
Otherwise, a 10 or 15 count herf-a-dor is a great solution to help contain aroma.
That may be the answer as I have a 10 ct that I never use. I usually only ever use my 5ct herf a dor. Plus I don't have to spend any money now :)

Thanks Clint!

Edit, nevermind. I remember tossing it as I left it in the car during a trip to Phoenix in July. The damn thing melted. Got plastic all over my cigars too.....

I picked up one of these and I'm pretty happy with it. I don't use it a lot, but it holds plenty of tobacco, 1 or 2 pipes, cleaners, lighter, and a tool. Works well as a quick bug out bag.

That's pretty nice! But the pipe needs to be "tied" to the outside. I guess if I just leave pipe cleaners and a tool in the glove something like this would be perfect. I like that it's handmade too!
The pipe goes in the flannel part, the baccy, tool, lighter, and cleaners go in the big non flannel pocket on the other side. Flannel protects the pipe finish and all the other bits are in the other part so nothing to make scratches.

Dude, I've never experienced heat like that. It was like an oven. 24 hours per day. I went for a vacation, didn't go outside for a week. Couldn't wait to get home.

I'm sure it's really nice right about now though!
Yep, the weather now is phenomenal. I love the winter here, especially since I grew up in MN.
