  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

OK, here's the story. I have blended a few tobaccos on my own, even had a couple blends made by Cornell & Diehl that garnered a few followers, until they ran out of a certain type of Latakia that is no longer available.

So, to this blend. It began because I have some 1994 whole leaf Perique sitting in Mason jars that I had not touched in a while. I cut some up and was smoking it straight up when a thought hit me - why not cut some up and mix it with some of the stuff I already had open.

The recipe...
1 part Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake
1 part PS Luxury Navy Flake
1 part Gawith & Hoggarth Louisiana Flake
1 part cut up 1994 Perique

Yes, that makes this blend 1/4 Perique.
It garnered about 4oz of the blend, and has been sitting semi-pressed for about a month.

I looked good, smelled a bit sweet with the hint of prunes.
It smokes nicely. Smoooth!!! Sweet! With a hint of spice and raisin/prunes.

I like it.

So, the first person to ask - and give me a mailing addy, I will ship them about 2oz to try. YOU MUST LIKE (no, LOVE) Perique.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

That sounds like a complex combo, hope it's good!

Let us know what you think of it. This is awesome to see a brother do some home blending.
I have to get going on trying to recreate Tewksbury & Co's Hobbits weed. I've seen a few different recipes for that one.
I found what appears to be a legitimate recipe for hobbits weed online (but who knows for sure) just need to order the components . Maybe next month when some money frees up. Curious to see what you come up with

Yeah I found a few recipes but I need to do one stop shopping when everything is in stock. One is always backordered or out of stock.
