I was selling some empty cigar boxes at the Tempe Arts Fair, when the guy who makes custom wooden pens noticed the spacer blocks some companies put in their boxes. I gave him one out of a Padron box, and he called me later offering to trade a pen for the rest that I could give him.
Tl;dr: I traded scrap spanish cedar for this really awesome $60 cedar pen, from a Padron box. Its resting on the leftover from the original block.

small wood lathes aren't that outrageous. Good glass or metal lathes on the other hand..
