For those with cabinet humis what do you use for humidification?

Thanks, I have the Magna 2.0 by Cigar Oasis, but I don't think it's keeping up with the high temps in the house and the cold weather outside. I'm looking at the Hurricane II Humidifier, pricey, but I feel it may be worth it in the long run.

You know it this is just a temporary problem you can buy a cheap humidifier from WM and raise the ambient humidity in the room. This will reduce the load on the dedicated humidifier in the cabinet.

Throwing in 3lbs of kitty litter will reduce the strain on it as well

No, the one listed above it. Pros....set and forget means set and forget, just add the distilled water. A couple times during the spring, summer and fall, a little more often when the furnace is running in the winter. If you have any problems, you just call or email Bob and he will walk you through it. No cons come right to mind, Mickey.

I ran an Oasis XL for a couple of years along with KL.. But never really was satisfied that the active unit was actually pulling its weight or offered any less maintenance, etc..

I've been running KL and a ton of bovedas now for about a year and have been really happy with that set up..

The interior of my cabinet is probably 18"x4'x5' and holds a legitimate 1200-1500 sticks.. I've got roughly 4lbs of KL in there and about 2 dozen 65% bovedas..

I typically have to spritz the KL about once every 2-3 months and have had to re-charge bovedas about once every 6 months.. (no more or less maintenance than when I was running the Oasis in there with the KL and bovedas)

No, sorry looking for owners of cabinets, be it avallo, Aristocrats, or "tower of powers" like I have.
Wineadors aren't big enough, unless they stand 6' or taller.

I have a 4 foot tall humidor and during the rehab I installed a channel in the back with a small speed controlled fan. I switched to a metric ass ton of heartfelt beads and a sponge in a plastic tray. I fill tray with water, let the sponge add humidity, the beads keep it stable from going to high, and keep it from crashing when the sponge drys out, the one time I went high I just pulled the sponge for a couple of days.

I do use a hydrometer with alarms, so I'm not worried about going out of my set range.

Update

I have moved the Magna to the middle shelf, and all seems to be OK now, I had it on the very bottom. Did this a week ago and it's now at 63 throughout the humi.
