I have seen a majority of these singers(80%) live. I would have to put Dylan at the top and that was in the late 90s. I completely disagree with Chis Cornell on the list. I went to his 2nd to last show ever(in KC) and that guy could sing.

No John "Cougar" Mellencamp on this list or 'the bathroom composer " Bruce Springsteen???

I'll also throw in Adam Levine, James Hetfield, Dave Matthew, Adam Duritz

Who said Paul Stanley? Get the F outta here, check out " I Still Love You" on Creatures Of The Night album, and "Tears Are Falling" hell, listen to him on the infamous "Detroit Rock City" where he wails in the beginning of each verse "hit top speed but I'm still moving much to slow" like that guy says in Coming To America "that boy can sing."

How do you feel about Ace's voice, Mick?

I always like Ace's voice, but that laugh there is no other. I like Peter's voice too, but Never could stand Gene's.

I like the live version of "Shock Me", but not a huge fan of his solo stuff. Gene is all about the Demon, not the vocal cords. :ROFLMAO:

I really liked the 1st Frehley's Comet album, and his solo Kiss album was the best.

Ace is oK in my book. I listed him as an "example' of a typical rock n roller. He was the first to get kicked out of Gene and Pauls "business' . That guy partied hard, and rocked.
Of course, that wasn't what Gene and Paul thought the Kiss "franchise" was all about. Can''t say I can vote yay or nay about his voice.

I agree with both statements.

I could vote for Billy Corgan, Axl Rose, or definitely Robert Plant (or Palmer...whoever it is that ruined Zeppelin's music for me).

Bob Dylan and Dave Mustaine have horrible voices, yet I somehow enjoy them...

As I was just forced to verify, for another thread, that a cover was better than the original, I want to cast my vote for Bono the U2 frontcreature.

Rob Halford of Judas Priest is up there too.

I saw his other band Fight with Anthrax I think.

Music was OK, but the voice...Ack!

Just looked them up and this is too funny...

Their top track starts with the lyrics:

"Torn by the wrath that burns like a buried flame
Crossed in the heart from this voice that's a nagging pain "
