Linea 1935

Rumour has it that the Montecristo Linea 1935 will be released in April after a launch event in Spain. It has been pretty hyped since its reveal at Festival del Habano roughly a year ago.

What do you guys think, will it live up to the hype? They do look beautiful... Reminds me of the Behike in a way.

These look stupid af. The early reviews I've heard haven't been particularly great and two of the three sizes are dumb. 5.5 x 49, wtf is that? And I'm sure the Dumas size will carry a significant premium over a box of Edmundos and comes with 5 less in a box. I'd try the Maltes due to the sobresalientes vitola, but I'm not expecting much. I'm sure the fact that they have 3 bands will generate a hype shitstorm though, I'd love to see some pricing info.

I dunno man. Sure it’s weird, but it’s like an amalgamation of a robusto, churchill, and toro. Kinda just like right in the middle of ‘em all.

I think since they're a regular release theyll definitely be less than $45 to $55. After all, you can grab a box of Monte 80ths for a tad over $500 after euro conversion and shipping. Since the Leyenda is the exact same size, I'm imagining it'll be priced similarly. Although after Rob sells out a couple times, I fully expect him to jack the price up. I expect the Dumas to eventually find their way to grey market vendors priced in the low $300s. Still, about the same amount of tobacco as an Edmundo, 5 cigars less per box and $80+ more expensive.

I have a bundle of pre-release, no bands though. A friend of a friend has a cousin in Florida that has relatives in Cuba and one of them is a roller in the Laquita factory and she gets these all the time. That's the only $10 option I've got for you. From what I've heard these will be priced in the same range as the 80th so you'll have to hit up Chuck or Eric in a month or two.
