Resigned yesterday after 11 years of service. Company didn't bat an eyelid, unbelievable.
Moments of clarity can be very enlightening, I really thought I was a key person in the business.

Hang the sense of it and keep busy!

Onward and Upward!!! :headphone:
Not sure how the economy is in Oz right now but here in the US unemployment is at an all time low in many places. If you’ve got some marketable skills you can probably easily find another job at better pay, working for someone who appreciates you. Good luck and God bless Dan!!

Absolutely mate, had already signed a new contract before I resigned. As a single income family of 4 I can't play game or take risks with cash flow.
They seem much more appreciative of me already and I haven't even started. Just solidified my thoughts that I made the right decision.

The economy will only get better over the next two years.

Vote in 2020 and it will be even bigger, faster and stronger!

Great to hear you got away from a company that dose not appreciate you. I just did the same but in my case I just flat out quit without another job prospect in sight. Could not take the lazy personal and all of the flat out bullshit they kept trying to feed me.

Congrats brother! It is always nice to feel appreciated at your job. I left one store a year ago that treated me like crap for another that values me and my department. Changed my entire mindset on life as a whole! I hope this does the same for you! Enjoy the transition with the fam!

Awesome. Congrats!! Few things make ya work harder and smarter than an employer that really appreciates your efforts. Always nice to see someone move into green(er) pastures!

Well an interesting lesson here.

6 months in my new job and the client was super impressed with my efforts.

Ended up in a sweet gig on an unbelievable day rate with a tier 1 business, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Never had as much time with my family or spare cash flow!
Take the risk all.. that saying about one door opening when one closes really panned out for me!

It will be a year and a half and I had much the same experience after 17 years in public schools. I worried so much but as I look back it was an easy decision and a great one. Good luck brother on your new endeavor!
