My client was, in fact, not guilty of what the state charged him with. Being a defense attorney has been a real eye opener for me. Some of the things the state files for are absolutely egregious.

You wouldn't believe what an Austin, TX DA did to an acquaintance of mine for using a pistol to scare away some gangsters and save a man's life. Over 2 years of BS. Nearly bled him dry.
