This was given to me as a gift and was estimated to have 2 years on it. It rested in my humidor for 172 days at 65%.

Appearance/Construction (10 points): 9/10
Slightly dryer Maduro wrapper but not excessive otherwise flawless construction with an evenly filled barrel, very few visible veins, and perfectly applied cap.

Smoking Characteristics (20 points): 19/20
This took flame quite effortlessly. The burn line did wander just slightly but presented not issue and required no touch up but I did deduct a point for that. The draw was perfect throughout the smoke and produced generous amounts of thick creamy smoke.

Flavor and Aroma (35 points): 35/35
Tasting the cigar even prior to cutting there was a very discernible sweetness which was present post light and becoming more prominent at about the halfway mark. In the end part of the 2nd third this sweetness took on an almost honey like sweetness and even the smoke had a very subtle sweet tobacco aroma. In the 2nd third a very soft spiciness reminiscent of white pepper and ginger emerged as did a Smokey/sweet flavor I can only describe as lightly charred sweet potato. There was quite a bit of complexity to this stick with a med/full body and very flavorful and lingering finish.

Overall Summary (35 points): 35/35
This was an absolutely flavor packed cigar with a pleasant finish. This is one cigar I would recommend be on your must try list.

Thanks Butcher. I think being that they had a couple of years on them had much to do with the nuances I picked up but I’ve heard great things about them even without the age on them, so I think that you’ll enjoy them plus they’re pretty reasonably priced. I have a couple of Hemingway Between The Lines napping in my humidor. Thanks again for your input and encouragement.

100% accurate bro. This is my favorite stick so far in my few months of smoking cigars. I tell all my friends if they want to try a cigar to try this one.

Sent from my backyard using smoke signals

And if you like them after 2+ years of nap time, wait’ll you ash one up with 4 years or more... :woot:
Very much this. I've been finding true gems in my humidor lately now that I've re-organized everything. Regular production Fuentes, Padrons, Tatuajes, etc. now with several years on them are - to no surprise - heavenly.

Have you checked Cigar Page?
Not recently but appreciate the heads up and will take a look. I still have an unopened box of SGs from 2015 and splurged on 8-5-8 Rosados, WOAMs and R44s last year so my Fuentes cooler is quite full. But, not saying I couldn’t rearrange it if I had to....
Thanks.

Edit: they’re sold out. :banghead: Will check back.
