Wifes family decided to take a week vacation here. On our way there now. About 10 hour drive left to go. Any good b&ms? Brothers wanna get a lunch and smoke in one day?(first few days weather is gonna be garbage) and anything fun to do in the area that might not be brochured? Couple guys were interested in getting a fishing trip In if possible too if any body knows any good ones. Were staying at the crescent shores hotel btw and have a crv.

I don’t live there but have been going to north Myrtle my whole life. We go every year last 2 weeks of July and we stay at ocean creek resort across from barefoot. I can tell you a lot of good eats and shops if you want and golf courses. The only smoke shop I know is Nicks cigar world and I think they might have a shop at broadway at the beach.

Eats shops and golf coarses would be awsome. Father in law braught his clubs with him!

Was there last in 2009. Great b&m was Nick's. Everyone went shopping. I read a harry Bosch novel and had an opus. It was a good day. I stayed at ocean creek and stank up the beach with my cigar. It was my last true vacation and I cant wait for the next one.

I loved it. I was in a studio and the balcony was awesome. It was netted so no bugs. I actually started drinking beer again on that trip. I was burned out and had nothing but whiskey for almost 10 years prior. It was red stripe.

We have stayed there since I was a kid. We stay in south tower for 2 weeks.

My bro in law lives in Columbia. He is there at least twice a year. I hope to go back but 10 hours with kids is daunting.

ahhhhh....Myrtle Beach.....have a buttload of Marriott and SPG points so we go there for free every year....there and Amelia Island. Beaches at each location are great....esp. Amelia Island where hardly anybody uses that beach area....almost private for miles...dog friendly and great restaurants in both locations. Myrtle Beach has one of the best Teppanyaki restaurants I've been to.... Myabi Kyoto Japanese Steak and Seafood on Kings Hiway.....NIcks Cigar World is just up the road....will be going there in December and staying at Embassy Suites for free to do a TimeShare presentation that we did before 2 years ago. Guess they love the challenge where I listen to them for 2 hours and last time we received 150,000 Hilton Points for buying into the program....yes, but there is always a period of rescinding....one has 1 week to cancel the contract which I did but I got to keep the points which was added to my Hilton Honors....150,000 points equals 1 week so it was fun to turn the tables on them. Guess we'll do it again for another 150,000 points and stay for 4 days and 3 nights on their dime.
