I have been meaning to get into "good" rum lately. Don't know too much about it really, other than what to avoid.

I don't think you can order direct online from them out of state, but for any Marylander's, I ordered a variety pack of Rum and a brandy from Lyon Rum in St. Michaels yesterday. I tried one of their rums, the 45%, and I really liked it as seen in the first post of this thread. The website noted a delivery for Sunday the 2nd. I thought, sweet that would be quick. Jessi, the sales manager, sent me an email and text today. He delivered it himself. I confirmed it with my son who is home. Is that service or what?!?! They are 1 1/2 hour drive away.

Massachusetts or Grand Cayman depending on weather
So jealous, if you're in the Cayman's.
Borders are closed until the new year, so not sure when we'll get back to the US. It's probably safer than Massachusetts at the moment, but we've been in almost total lockdown for weeks, and will be for weeks more. All stores and businesses closed except food stores and hospitals. We're allowed out 90 minutes a day between 6 am and 6 pm to walk or run for exercise. Can use some of that time three days a week to shop for food. Beaches all closed and all water activity banned, which kills the main reason for being here. But I still sneak down to the beach at night, watch the police helicopter go by about 100 feet above the hut I'm hiding under while smoking a cigar, sipping some rum, and watching the sun set.

If I had to be in quarantine, that place would be at the top of list. I had my first Lionfish ceviche there. It was incredibly good. Good luck on the voyage home when it comes. Whatch out for the curfew cops.

I only drink El Dorado 12 and 21. My family returns to my home country about 5 -6 times a year and they bring back 2 bottles each time for me. In my biased opinion it's the best rum on the market.

Bottles look nice. It should be good with that sort of aging. I know someone that will be traveling to that area in the near future. I may have to request a care package.

El Dorado 12 shouldn't be hard to find. The 21 may be a bit rarer but still available Not sure if you have a Total Wine and More in your area but you can check their website.

Yeah I easily find them here in NYC, even in the little seedy liqour stores. But for some reason I like getting them from back home.

Anything from back home tastes better, we all know that. I was just letting Keven 7mm know that he didn't have to leave town to find it.
