I have been listening to a lot of grunge lately. Like a lot of people, I go through periods in life where I tend to focus on a particular era of music. Before my latest grunge binge it was classical music that filled my listening que.

What bands are your favorite from that 90s grunge sound?

Mine are, in no order, Soundgarden, AIC, STP.

Also, are there any lesser-knowns that I should check out?

Musician and I've been a Dj for 31 years. I fell in love with music at 4 years old when I first remember hearing it. It's my thang!:giggle:
It all makes sense why you always have good music choices!

I’m a total music geek.
Any band or artist I like I try to learn as muck knowledge as I can about them. Books, interviews, random fan stories, and of course geeking out to the music…It adds to my appreciation of them.
Lately I’ve been really into the story, the legacy and the impact The Grateful Dead had on music.
These guys were musical cowboys, and they blazed a path that nobody knew needed blazing. I can’t even imagine what it must have felt like to be on stage as any member of that band. I can go on and on and on, but I won’t bore anyone!
So yeah, I’m a geek when it comes to music!

As for grunge era bands:
Alice In Chains
STP
Pearl Jam
Temple of the Dog
Local H
Everclear
Weezer?

I also made a playlist, about 9 hrs of music, with songs that take me back to ‘92-‘96. Not all songs are from those years, but they were on my radar during that time:

Growing up 45 minutes north of San Francisco means you grow up listening to GD at some point or another. I went to their old house off Haight St. the day after Jerry died. What a scene!!!
MUSIC GEEKS UNITE!!!:love::love::love:

That’s me.
I’ll look you up and follow!!
I had to add my kids to the family account because during the pandemic they completely took over my Spotify account.
Now they have their own “account” that I use for them.
