If you would have asked a week ago I could have helped. They often send a 20% to you in email when you order plus they have a loyalty program that uses points for every purchase. It is kinda a crappy one but one none the less.

They slammed me w/ a cigar of the month club membership a few years ago. Was easy to resolve, but that was enough for them to lose my business.

Avoid Thompson at all costs!!! They tried scamming me years ago. They need to be put to rest.
They noticed that I was buying the same box of cigars every month or so, and called me to ask if I wanted to start having the box auto-shipped every month. I said NO, because I don't always go through a box a month. 2 weeks later I look at my credit card history and they've charged me for a box of cigars and shipped them after I told them not to. I called them and told them to cancel the order, and the guys says, "Well, I'm gonna have to go listen to the recording of the phone call and confirm that you said NO to having the cigars sent every month". I said, "WHAT?!?!...If I wanted the cigars, why would I be calling you?!?!". He told me he would have to call me back after listening to the recorded call. A couple days later he called and confirmed that I had said NO, and he put the money back on my card and cancelled the monthly order. I quickly deleted all my info from their site and have steered clear since. They did a couple other shady things before that as well. Since then I use Famous, Atlantic, and Small Batch and they have all been great!!! I think most everyone on here would tell you the same.

I used to use Cigars International in my early days as well. It takes them 3 days just to send a order confirmation let alone a shipping confirmation. Then another 7 days to arrive for a total of 10 days. My last order from Atlantic took three days to arrive. Ordered on a Monday, and got my order on Wednesday. Their prices are way better too. Nuff said!

Bout all I do with Thompson is their 5 pack fever special. But then again if I don't recognize a phone number I don't answer it so I haven't been scammed into an unwanted purchase yet.

I know a big company bought Thompson a couple years ago, so things might be different now.
They were purchased by Scandinavian Tobacco Group (the same parent company that owns Cigars International) in 2018.

STG Acquires Thompson for $62mm | halfwheel

Like many others, I was signed up for their cigar of the month club without my permission and have refused to do business with them ever since.

Maybe things are different now with new ownership?

I can inquire with my son about discount coupons. He has a notepad full of different promos organized by date. I'll text you later to let you know where there are discounts right now and where there will be at Christmas.
I discovered it! My son claims that he gets free shipping tips on the web and that he frequently utilizes coupons to achieve discounts. It appears to include everything you require; check the list of free shipping tricks to ensure you don't overlook anything. This year, there are several new stores that have recently debuted and are now available online with delivery. I believe there will be significant discounts during the holidays. We, too, will be shopping for Christmas gifts and decorations because we recently relocated and have no other alternatives (looking for stores in the new state).

Thompson was my dad’s go to when I was growing up so they naturally became my first mail order shop in the early 2000’s. That stopped when I was scammed by them back in 2010 when they were running the earlier version of an auction site. I had several “orders” appear that I had neither bid on nor authorized and when I called they initially refused to cancel because “Someone in your house must have done it as a gift for you.” I can assure you nobody thought a decorative box of Ghurka’s was on my wishlist, let alone a bunch of them at a few hundred bucks each.

I have ordered from them only once since then and it was after they were bought out. The price was good but the cigars arrived quite dry and needed some extra time to recover.

Interestingly enough this was when I got out of smoking and collecting cigars. I knew there was other websites out there, but I’d lost my most trusted and reliable source and didn’t have any other catalogs showing up each month.
