Nothing special planned for Christmas/New Years since I don't smoke at home, but I have several business trips in a row starting Jan. 3rd and I plan to break out the good stuff.

Might finally fire up an Opus when I head down to San Diego and LA for a couple weeks. Also taking a box of Serie D 6 to share with friends while I'm down there.

Not sure about Christmas, but I think I'm gonna enjoy a Padron of some sort for new years! Either a 1926 or one of the Hammers my wife got me that have been mellowing since Father's Day.

Definitely can't go wrong with a 1926. Just had one a few days ago myself.
Great smokes, regardless of the particular vitols

I am considering breaking out my Joya de Nicaragua Cinco Decadas on Christmas Eve. I have a half day at work on Christmas. So, if the weather is right, I'll celebrate early.

Nice choices.

I wish I was back in San Diego like when I was in the navy and was there 9 months.

Best year round weather I have ever experienced.

Unlike the winter weather here in Wyoming

I grew up a few hours from there before moving to WY back in 2000. I haven‘t spent much time in California in the last 20 years, but the opportunity came up to link 2 conferences into one long-ish trip split between San Diego and LA.

That's cool. My ex-wife was from Riverside, but was living in San Diego when I met her.
San Diego is pretty nice as far as big cities go. I really enjoyed my time there in the navy for my final school. Was stationed at MCAS Miramar, which the Marines had done a great job of fixing it up after the Navy turned it over to them.

They definitely eat WAY better than the navy. Their chow hall food was resteraunt quality compared to a navy galley with cockroaches and mice running around while you ate.

Plus when I got there the navy student barracks was full, so they put me in the officer's transient barracks with nice, big rooms and housekeeping service and no room inspections. Like staying in a nice hotel, and every roommate I had was never there, so I always had the room to myself

Didn't know you were in Wyoming too. Which part?

I'm in Buffalo but lived in rock springs for 10 years before coming to the veterans home here

I spent 11 years there in a few different places. Thermopolis for a few, then Riverton and then Laramie. I left WY in 2011 and bounced around the country for a bit but landed back in Montana
last year.

Will see what strikes me I always like to smoke something really special on Christmas and New Years eve.
Maybe a 80's Davidoff Château Margaux or a Davidoff Château Latour

Nice. Been to all those places, but in the oilfields, so didn't get to really see the towns much except my hotel room.

Been to billings about 6 times probably since its only a couple hours from here.
Plus had my arm surgeries done there
