An earlier thread mentioned an Alaska cruise so it got me thinking if anyone has any experience with the Norweigan Breakaway that visits Costa Maya, Harvest Caye Belize, Roatan Bay Honduras and Cozumel.

Does anyone have any experiece with the on-board Humidor Lounge? I'm assuming I can bring my own smokes but does the lounge have a reasonably priced selection of decent cigars?

Taking the mantra "don't buy Cubans from the guy on the beach" as gospel can anyone recommend shops near the port calls?

hard to find any real ccs in Honduras or Mex.

certainly not in a port town.

I find that the usual vendors have better prices and a better reputation for the real deal.

Here on Cozumel we have two legit cc shops and endless places selling fakes. Taxes here in MX on cigars are crazy high so you won't find any great deals. The MX regionals are very good if you are willing to pay the price but with the taxes they are quite expensive.

Thought about visiting Havana Bobs and la casa del Habano while in port. Any purchases would be smoked in the shop or for the cruise home so I wouldn't be spending that much money

@presa_dad Havana Bobs advertises a home roll that uses "Cuban Tobacco" but I thought the Cuban Gov doesn't allow their tobacco leaf to be shipped out of the country. Probably like everybody else selling cuban seed as Cuban?

Those are the two legit options. Bob's house rolls are quite good and Jimmy at LCdH rolls good house cigars as well. I haven't asked either of them about the origin of their "Cuban leaf" but they smoke great and are very enjoyable.

Well we're back!

I had the opportunity to purchase a box of Cohibas for $12 a stick, several times. It was really neat that they where able to peel up the box seals to show me the cigars!

Pics of the Humidor Lounge on the ship. Got incredibly thick in the evening when a lot of people smoking.

Maltings Lounge the smoker's lounge is part of Maltings seperated by a glass door. A good selection of quality alcohol. Comfortable but smokey atmosphere.

Looks awesome Al!!!
Did you get a chance to talk to Eazy E? He's just sitting all by himself over there. He's supposed to be dead too.
Probably waiting for Osama Bin Laden to join him after he gets done showering.
