  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Intersted in a private cigar club in Virginia, Maryland or DC?

OK, I've finally begin to really think about how to do this and I'm ready to start putting together a group of people who have a serious interest in starting a private club in the National Capitol Area.

I say I, but I've identitifed others who have an interest in the same agenda.

So if you have an interest and you are local to the national capitol area send me an email at bryan_winston@yahoo.com. What I'll then do is send you a strawman that says, this is what I currently think it takes to get a cigar club off the ground. If we can get 25 people together who want to explore it we'll elect some officers, get a business license, work out an operating agreement and business model and then go forward from there.

If you have general questions you can ask them here, in the email or later.

Also Mods if I'm in the wrong place move this thread but this is intended to be a business that DOESN'T generate a profit, any profits made by the club would be used for club improvements or charitable donations.

Also this has been going (gathering people) for a couple of weeks so we're really starting to pick up steam.

Great idea, you can also check out Metro Cigar Club. They did everything you want to do.
Tom,

Actually I've been in touch with someone at Metro, I'm borrowing quite heavily from thier very successful model in building ours.

Love the idea Bryan but I live a little too far from this area. I would pay a visitor fee or day fee to enjoy the place if that were an option when in the area. Best of luck in setting this up.

I'm sure we'll be quite open to the idea of visitors, we're only a couple more heads from closing on the next step.

Great news, we have exceeded our minimum threshold to move along to the next stage. This does not mean however that you can't still join if you are interested in helping us move this forward.
