  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Construction was flawless: smooth chocolate brown wrapper, with very few thin veins.

Prelight: had a deep earthy sent. which reminded me of being in the woods behind my house.

Draw: smooth easy draw with slight spiciness during prelight

1st 3rd: dominant tobacco flavor with hint of pepper

2nd 3rd: Same tobacco flavor with hints of nuts and vanilla

final 3rd: Tobacco flavor continues but with a good chocolate and coffee flavor

burn: besides being outside in the sub freezing temps and breeze it burnt straight till the final third were canoeing start to take over.

Ash: the ash held for about two inches before falling off even through the slight breeze and the shivering

Finish: was nice short and crisp

all in all this was a good medium bodied smoke wish i could have enjoyed inside but the dorms dont really accomodate to cigars. i would rate this 87-89 i would recommend.

This was a great smoke! I had a poker game at the house tonight and it was my second smoke of the night! I am sitting here looking at the label and thinking of what a great smoke it was! I have one more left, but know i will buy more!

I can't find these things anywhere. I've been to 6 different shops, 3 of which are very well stocked, and no dice at any of them.

Are these only distributed to the west coast?

they have been out for a while. They get them in and sell them to people who have been asking about them. These things dont stay on the shelf long since making the CA top 10 list. Havent been to the site lately maybe they have some in.

I shipped a bunch of accounts this/last week - be on the lookout. Inventory won't be a problem soon. I'll have 30k cigars showing up in the next week followed by another 35k by the end of the month. Thanks for all of the nice words!

Hey Dion...I've been meaning to ask about the 1's...Are they produced in very low numbers or just really hard to find?
At first, they didn't sell all that well. All of a sudden, I was getting orders left and right and ran out quickly, much like the 4/2g. I have a grip of both coming real soon.

I hear that the next batch are supposed to be even better. I gave a couple of sticks to my local B&M and they are supposed to be getting their first batch in real soon.

Can't wait to smoke a couple.

I was in Nicaragua/Honduras 2 weeks ago to validate the current production and smoke the raw materials for my cigars for 2008. The cigars were spot-on as well as the raw materials.

If a couple folks want some let me know I will see about getting by my local shop to do a singles run. I love these a lot and am in need to pick up a box or 2.
